The EU|BIC Excellence Awards are back!
This year, we celebrate and recognise the impact of the EU|BIC Awards in supporting businesses and entrepreneurship that drive green innovation and contribute to the green transition.
With this second edition of the awards, EBN highlights the efforts of the EU|BIC community in fostering a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future by:
- Supporting the creation of new green and sustainable businesses
- Facilitating the transition of existing companies
- Enabling the development and adoption of innovative green solutions
The 5 finalists will take the stage at the EBN Congress 2025 in Barakaldo, Spain, where the EU|BIC community will vote to select the winning programme. The winner will be awarded during the EBN Congress 2025 and will be featured in upcoming EBN publications and events. Additionally, they will receive two free tickets to EBN Techcamp 2025, taking place from 19-21 November in Nivelles, Belgium.
Eligibility Criteria
- EU|BIC Membership: Only organisations that are members of the EU|BIC Community are eligible to apply.
- Participation in EBN Congress 2025: Only submissions from EU|BIC Community members attending the Congress will be considered.
Required Information for Each Application
- General information about your organisation
- Innovative approaches within your incubation programme
- Description of the identified need/challenge
- Programme description (overview, innovative aspects, and its contribution to the green transition)
- Programme implementation (tools, methodologies, structure, personnel involved, etc.)
- Impact (focus on green transition and stakeholder engagement)
- Success stories
- Programme sustainability and transferability
Evaluation Criteria
- Need/Challenge Description → Context, identified need, and target beneficiaries (15 points)
- Business Support Programme Description → Overall evaluation, with a focus on innovation and green transition (35 points)
- Impact → Economic, social, and environmental outcomes, diversity, inclusion, and stakeholder engagement, including a real success story (30 points)
- Sustainability & Transferability → Long-term viability and potential for replication within the EU|BIC community (10 points)
- Communication → Quality of the submitted presentation (max. 15 slides in English) and supporting materials (videos, brochures, etc.) (10 points)
Maximum score: 100/100
This year, the EU|BIC 2025 Award is supported by the EU-funded RESOURCE project for communication and dissemination of results.
